Web Design for Denver

As a design firm that focuses on creating clear, concise, and engaging brand messages, we have organized a few thoughts in this post on Website Design for local Denver based businesses.

1.  Simplicity:  Even five years ago, web sites tended to focus much more on quantity than quality.  “If I could only show prospective customers everything we do the moment they arrive on my site, I will increase my conversion statistics.”  This type of thinking generated very poor user experiences and hurt the overall Denver web community as a result.  If you can focus your content in a few general categories and step a visitor through a brief series of clicks to conclusion, your conversion statistics will be much better off.

2.  Location Based Content:  When local businesses create web content (pages, posts, images, video, and flash), they must keep in mind the location in which they do business and target messages at those locales.  Search engines routinely strive to become more relevant to the people performing the search.  One way the SE’s do this is by identifying the search locale and then displaying results that might be relevant to both keyword and locale.  This is better for local business and better for local consumers and that equals relevancy.

3.  Simple Tools:  You’ve probably heard that as far as the Internet goes, “Content is King”.  The more content an online business produces, the better that online business will perform in search results.  The simpler your content building tool is, the easier it will be for you to generate not just quantity of content, but time enough to focus on quality as well.  Make sure that your web designer is not building your site with a tool that only makes their job easier, but with one that makes your job easier.  We strongly recommend against proprietary Content Management Tools as you may become beholden to your Webmaster for any new content.

If you’ve read any of our posts, you’ll notice that the theme of simplifying your life and that of your customers is at the core of our business.  Life is complex enough without poor web design, and so rather than spending your time trying to figure all this out yourself, give us a call, cut us loose, and go enjoy the Rocky Mountains.
